Dermapen is used to tighten the skin and improve its texture. It reduces deep pores, rough and uneven skin (pigmentation) and scars (acne and trauma). It helps repair skin damaged by the sun, smoking and air pollution.
What results can I expect?
You can expect a lifting and tightening of the skin with a fresher, smoother appearance, and a reduction in scarring. For optimum results use in conjunction with the Dr Harris skincare range.
How do Dermapen treatments work?
Dermapen utilises a needle cartridge with 12 very small micro-needles. They gently penetrate the skin (micro-needling) to repair it by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The treatment normally lasts around ten minutes with results lasting a year, or even longer.
Is the treatment painful?
A topical anaesthetic (Emla cream) is applied to the face for 40 minutes before the treatment to ensure minimal discomfort.
Are there side effects?
Following the procedure, there may be some redness and swelling that can last up to 12 hours, but more serious side effects are extremely rare.
How much do Dermapen treatments cost?
Dr Harris offers a free Dermapen consultation in his London clinic, and treatments cost from £200.
